Punching moulds

Design, manufacturing and testing in Bromma

We develop and build stamping moulds in our own premises in Bromma. With over 60 years of experience, we take responsibility for the entire chain - from CAD design and material selection to test runs and measurement protocols. The result is stable production, tight tolerances and short lead times.

Do you need a new die or want to optimise an existing one?

Send us your drawing, materials and volume - and we'll get back to you with a proposal, lead time and quote.

Why choose Stans-Service

  • Everything in-house in Bromma - faster decisions, shorter lead times.
  • Repeatability in series - test run in production-like conditions and documented measurement data (Cp/Cpk).
  • Optimised tool geometry - Angles of cut, restraints and steel selection are customised according to materials and tolerances.
  • Lifetime & service - trimming, maintenance and monitoring for consistent quality over time.

What we deliver

  • Die-cutting moulds / flat dies for soft materials and foils.
  • Prototypes and pilot series for quick verification and DFM feedback.
  • Test drive & measurement protocol - we drive, measure and adjust before handover.
  • Spare parts and maintenance for high availability in your production.

Materials we optimise for

Plastic film (e.g. PET, PI, PC), soft plastics (PE, PP, PVC, PTFE, etc.), foam, rubber, paper/cardboard and self-adhesive materials (including kiss-cut labels and spacers).

Dimensions and tolerances

  • Detail size: from about 3 × 3 mm up to about 650 × 1600 mm (sheet/size depending on material and machine).
  • Thicknesses: plastic films typically 0.05-0.5 mm; soft plastics up to about 3 mm.
  • Tolerances: is set according to requirements and materials - we match cut quality, burr formation and repeatability to your Cp/Cpk targets.

Please note that spans and tolerances are affected by material, geometry and volume. We always verify in a test run.

Typical applications

Gaskets, spacers, insulation and protective components for electronics and other industries - including thermal pads and adhesive components.

This is how we work

  1. Documentation & requirements - drawing, material, annual volume, tolerances and function.
  2. CAD design - choice of steel, cutting edge geometry, clearances and restraints.
  3. In-house manufacturing - short decision-making paths and high traceability.
  4. Test drive - production-like conditions, adjustments and trims.
  5. Measurement & documentation - measurement protocol/Cp-Cpk as required.
  6. Handover & follow-up - support, spare parts and service plan.
