Die-cut details in soft materials

We help industry convert films, foams, rubbers and tapes/laminates into finished, ready-to-assemble parts. Our focus is on electronics-related insulation, gaskets and thermal interfaces (TIM) - but we are equally happy to supply other applications where lightweight, flexible materials are needed.

Why Stans-Service?

  • Specialising in soft materials - optimised process for films, foam/rubber and self-adhesive laminates.
  • The right detail in the right format - delivery on roll/sheet (kiss-cut) or singulated (punched) for quick installation in your rope.
  • Fast track from idea to volume - in-house tool making, test runs and stable series production.

Capacities & delivery formats

  • Detail size: from very small insulation parts to large gaskets for enclosures.
  • Delivery:
    • Kiss-cut on carriers (sheet/roll) for high speed assembly.
    • Recast and singulated details when it fits your process better.
  • Labelling & kitting: batches, item labelling and item/batch ID according to your flow.

Processes we use

Through-cutting (through-cut)

For loose details where you want each component singulated directly.

Kiss-cut (top punching)

When details need to remain on the carrier liner (paper/plastic) for quick picking in production. Ideal for self-adhesive foils, tapes and thermal pads.

Which method should I choose?

  • Kiss-cut when you want to minimise handling time and get repeatable placement in assembly.
  • Reassessment when the part is to be further processed as a single component or where subsequent process steps require singulates.

Materials & multi-layer details

  • Plastic films/foils: e.g. PET, PI (Kapton), PC, PTFE - for electrical/thermal insulation.
  • Foam & rubber: EPDM, silicone, NBR, etc. - vibration damping, sealing and spacer.
  • Tapes & laminates: acrylic/VHB, transfer and carrier film - as an assembly aid or to build multilayers.
  • TIM: gap pads/fillers and thermal films for efficient heat transfer.

Do you need a specific material? We suggest alternatives and can stock them by appointment.

Quality & documentation

  • Manufacturing customisation (DFM): material and process choices for lower total cost of ownership.
  • Precursors: test drive and measurement - measurement protocol if necessary.
  • Consistent quality in series: tool maintenance and traceability as agreed.

Logistics that simplify your assembly

  • Roll/sheet/singulated - format according to your installation method.
  • Kitting & labelling - rates per product/item, clear labelling.
  • Call-offs & safety stock - a steady pace and short lead times.

Typical use cases

  • Gaskets & seals for enclosures (IP protection, dust/liquid).
  • Thermal management - thermally conductive gap pads and foils in electronics.
  • Masking for paints/surfacing - heat-resistant films with fast peeling.
  • Vibration damping & spacers - foam details with/without PSA.
  • EMI/EMC - shielding foils and self-adhesive screens.

How we work - from drawing to series

  1. Letter & CAD - drawing/CAD + volumes and critical dimensions/tolerances.
  2. Material selection & prototype - quick tests for function and assembly.
  3. Tools & pre-series - test runs, fine-tuning and documentation.
  4. Series production - the right process (punching/kiss-cut) and optimised cycle time.
  5. Packaging & Logistics - format, labelling and call-off as planned.
  6. Ongoing optimisation - reduced waste, stable quality, secured supply.
