We have some types of plastic films in stock in 0.1-0.5mm thickness and can order home many different types of plastics if desired.

How does punching of plastics and plastic films work?

Punching of plastics and plastic films is a process in which the material is cut into specific shapes using special tools or punches. This method can be divided into several steps:

Design and tool making

Först skapas en design av den önskade formen. Ett stansverktyg, ofta tillverkat av stål, anpassas efter denna design. Verktyget kan vara en enkel kontur eller mer komplex beroende på behovet.

Material preparation

The plastic material, which can be in the form of sheets or foils, is prepared for punching. The material is placed on a substrate that can withstand the die-cutting pressure.

Punching

The punching machine, which can be manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic, presses the tool against the plastic material with high pressure. This cuts the desired shape out of the material. The pressure and precision of the machine ensure that the cuts are accurate and even.

Extraction of details

The cut-out details are removed from the original material. Any remaining material is recycled or reprocessed.

Finishing operations

If necessary, the plastic parts can undergo additional processing, such as trimming, cleaning or quality control, to ensure that they meet all specifications and requirements.

Quality control

Each batch undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure that all parts meet the set standards and specifications. Any defects are identified and rectified before the products are delivered to the customer.

Advantages of this method

Punching plastic and plastic films offers several advantages:

  • Precision: Possibility to create precise and detailed shapes.
  • Effectiveness: Fast manufacturing process, ideal for both small and large volumes.
  • Versatility: Useful for a range of plastic materials and design requirements.
  • Minimal spillage: Optimized material use reduces waste.

Areas of use

Punched plastic products have a wide range of applications in various industries. They are used as gaskets, seals, components of electronic devices, packaging, toys, medical equipment and automotive components. The method allows the production of both simple and complex parts that meet specific functional and design requirements.
